BERTON WINS MONTPELLIER GP!
- At the 45 minute mark JCC and Berton were neck and neck, with Kilic one lap down to Ongaro. It's a 2 horse race with Ongaro trying to close the gap to the leading pair and pitting out of sync - possibly due to his early crash?
- At the 46 minute mark Berton takes the lead back for the first time - could he lay down some fast times to hold on to the win? He builds a 0.8 second gap but JCC is able to cut it down to 0.4 on the next lap. The very next lap, JCC falls half a second behind. It's going to be close!
- Berton builds a huge gap of 2.5 seconds as he puts with 6 minutes remaining, and JCC pits immediately after, putting Berton in the lead again nearly 3 seconds ahead
- JCC slows down to defend against a charging Ongaro, who is immediately behind!
For the final 2 laps the top 3 are right together but Berton holds on to WIN the Montpellier GP!! All three racers finish with 1.5 seconds after an full hour of racing!
