Ready for some #VintageRC #RacingMemories from a brand you probably never heard of? Check out this super cool-looking Ishimasa FF12e car from the early 80s! This FRONT-wheel drive car featured an alumium chassis underneath replica bodies including the Can-Am Porsche 917K and similarly shaped racers. In addition to their Rat and Rat II dune buggy models, they sold this car which competed with Kyosho, AYK and Tamiya models of the time.
Ishimasa moved away from cars to develop and sell the first electric RC helicopter model all the way back in 1981, but the limitations of electric power at the time (imagine trying to learn how to fly a heli 2 minutes at a time between battery changes!) meant it couldn't sell in high enough quantities to keep on sale for vrey long.
